Indeed. You can rent or buy from our reception, but as all backpackers know: Always have a padlock with you while travelling.

Sheets and towels are included in the price.

Are the washrooms/toilets unisex or different for men and women?

Each of our rooms has its own solo bathroom with toilet and shower. In addition to this we have 2 solo bathrooms downstairs. All bathrooms are unisex.

Does the hostel do walking tours throughout the day? Thanks

Hello, we promote a company that offers free tours in the city. Beside that offer, we occasional have other type of activities, such as the food tour or visiting beers gardens, offered at the hostels. We also have night activities every evening.

Are you fully booked from May 1st for the rest of the year or do you not expect booking far in advance?

Currently we are only accepting booking until the beginning of May. Our availability for the summer will go online within a few week, but we have plenty of space

Can I check in around 1 am?

Hi, it is possible to check in at any time after 8:30am but the rooms are usually available from 3:00pm. Obviously if beds will be ready we will be happy to assign you already to your room. Anyways we can store your luggages from anytime

Is it quiet at night?

Our house rules state that we have to keep it quiet in our rooms after 11pm :)

Do you have planned events or activities?

We have planned events and activities for every single day. Both daytime, evening and nightly activities :) These will be put up in the hostel every morning.

Can I use my own sleeping bag?

No, but we will provide you with fresh, and properly cleaned bed linens.

Do you offer luggage storage?

Yes. We have a luggage room our guests are free to use both before they check in, and after they check out.

Hi I heard about your thing that you have night out like everybody go dinner and then play some drink games and then everybody go out to some clubs

Every night we cook dinner for the hostel before taking people out into the city to party

We don't have any private rooms here, only mixed dorms.

How much does it cost to rent a lock?

Padlocks can be rented with a deposit, and the deposit is returned upon the return of the lock. They can be bought for 100czk.

What's the age restriction?

18-45 years old

hi guys...weird question but felt like asking...is it okay to reserve even if i dont drink alcohol? :P

Of course you can stay with us if you don't drink alcohol. Just because we like to party doesn't mean you have to drink to stay here and party with us.

Hi, would I be able to do an early checkin around 7am / drop off my bags and chill in the common room for a while?

Our reception opens at 8:30 every morning so you'll be able to come at time to drop off your bags and chill in our common rooms until your bed is ready in the afternoon. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any arrivals earlier than 8:30.

What would you highlight about The MadHouse Prague
Immaculate vibes and live long friends were made.
All the bunk beds had curtains which made all the difference in the world. All the staff were pleasant to be around, especially John the receptionist. The hostel is quite cozy and has the feeling of living in a big house with your closest friends. There is a family meal hosted by the staff every evening and it is vegetarian friendly, they only charge 100 Czech crowns for it. There is a self-serve beer fridge in the reception based on the ol'honor system, it's priced at 35 Czech crowns for a bottle or 100 crowns for 4 bottles! There's a different group outing activity every single night, you could stay there for more than a week before the rotation of activities repeats.
There's no immediate concerns, everything was exactly the way it should have been. But if I were to be pedantic, I'd say that perhaps a dedicated luggage storage locker would have been a nice bonus, rather than just the miscellaneous storage closet.

The Madhouse is the best hostel I have stayed in. The staff were brilliant and made an active effort to get the residents to know each other. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone who likes solo travelling!
